Summer Retreat 2025 in the New Forest, Hampshire

Created to uplift, restore, and awaken potential, our summer retreat offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity to pause, connect, and grow. Each year, we craft a nurturing environment that meets the unique needs of every participant — allowing space for movement, expression, reflection, and joy.
This year, we return with a carefully curated blend of familiar favourites and new, enriching activities that deepen participants’ connections to themselves, their families, and the world around them. Set within peaceful New Forest surroundings, the retreat centres around our foundational principle: Active Conductive Living — the art of integrating movement and intention into daily life with awareness, dignity, and purpose.
What to Expect
Throughout the retreat participants will have the opportunity to:
- Participate in daily functional routines that promote independence
- Practise self-help and personal care skills in supported environments
- Engage in movement classes designed to improve balance, control, and coordination
- Explore self-expression
through gesture, rhythm, and playful communication - Enjoy moments of rest, restoration, and laughter through shared meals and activities
We are especially excited to offer a renewed focus on:
Happy Hands and Feet
A gentle yet powerful daily practice dedicated to energising and harmonising the internal flow of the body. By exploring purposeful hand gestures, foot poses, and structured movements, we can help stimulate circulation, enhance organ function, and support a holistic sense of vitality. These activities are not only practical for improving fine motor control, putting weight through the feet, standing and walking, but also serve to balance emotional and mental wellbeing.
Soothing Epsom salt foot baths, lavender wraps, and nourishing leg and foot massages will be offered every day to relax the body and ease muscular tension.
Posture and Presence
This year we introduce guided moments of reflection on how we hold ourselves in the world. Through playful yet intentional exercises, we will explore:
- How posture shapes confidence and energy flow
- Ways to increase awareness of how we “show up” in everyday life
- The link between movement and inner belief systems
From a poised stance to an open gesture, our outer form communicates something deep — and we aim to support each participant in developing a more centred, expressive relationship with their body.
