Easter Spring Renewal Residential Retreat in the New Forest UK 2026

April 4 @ 8:30 am - April 9 @ 6:00 pm
Following our regular Easter mini-block in Thakeham, we will be running our  Easter Spring Renewal Residential Retreat

A gentle return to rhythm, and inner coherence, seasonal invitation into growth, safety, and renewed organisation — at the pace the nervous system can genuinely receive.

Spring carries a particular intelligence. It does not rush, yet everything begins to move again. After the inwardness of winter, life re-emerges — not by force, but through timing and quiet readiness. Rather than striving for change, we work with emergence — supporting the nervous system, the body, and the subtle layers of experience to reorganise. Spring reminds us that renewal happens when conditions are right. This retreat is about creating those conditions.

This Easter retreat is shaped by the same principle of renewal and includes an Easter egg hunt. Spring offers more light, warmth, and predictability — all of which support nervous system regulation.

We work with:

  • consistent daily rhythms
  • gentle transitions
  • familiar spaces and people
  • a calm, responsive participation

Over six days together, we create and hold a restorative field that allows what has been dormant, tired, or held too tightly to soften and reawaken. There is space to breathe, to listen, and to allow new rhythms to arise naturally in the body and inner landscape.

Days unfold with a natural rhythm of guided practices, quiet integration, time outdoors, and shared meals. There is room for both silence and soft connection, allowing each participant to meet spring in their own way.

This retreat promises a truly unique experience. It is set in a fully accessible, detached self-catering cottage on the outskirts of Lymington, surrounded by the breath-taking New Forest National Park.
After welcoming a family from Australia for an intensive three-week programme over Christmas—where they stayed in one of The Bench’s properties while participating in an individual programme—we are happy to offer this opportunity to other families on a regular.
You can choose to:
?Join our regular residential retreats, where participants can attend independently without their parents, carers or personal assistants.
? Arrange a holiday stay with your family or your personal assistant in one of three available cottages, and book personalised one-to-one or small group sessions, which can be arranged at The Bench or a local venue in Boldre (subject to availability).
We offer integrated, holistic systems of services from babyhood to adulthood, with programmes designed to support a wide range of developmental needs in different locations in the UK.
Our approach focuses on building the ability to actively participate and successfully interact with the social, physical, and natural world. This includes enhancing independence, communication skills, mobility, changing position and place in various ways, walking, stair-climbing, dexterity, coordination, self-care, and more.
Each session is bespoke and tailored to individual needs. It focuses on personalised rehabilitation, well-being, and independence in a tranquil yet dynamic environment.
